Stay Safe from Real Estate Scams – Here’s How
Posted by Jamie Jewell on May 09 , 2025 - 08:53 am

Secure Closings Start with Trusted Partnerships
Your safety during the buying or selling process is a top priority at our brokerage. That’s why we’re proud to work with Access Title Agency, which is now partnering with CertifID, the nation's leading wire fraud prevention service. Together, we’re making real estate transactions safer by protecting your personal and financial information from scams.
Why This Matters
Wire fraud has become a serious—and increasingly common—threat in real estate. Criminals often hack emails and impersonate agents, title companies, or lenders to trick people into wiring money to fraudulent accounts. In 2023 alone, reported wire fraud losses in real estate topped $446 million, with victims losing an average of $195,000 each.
That’s why working with secure partners matters.
What CertifID Brings to the Table
Access Title Agency has implemented two solutions from CertifID to help protect your transaction:
1. CertifID Match – Fast, Safe Identity Verification
You’ll receive an email and text message from CertifID. Simply snap a selfie and scan your ID. CertifID confirms your ID is legitimate and matches your image—helping prevent identity fraud at closing.
2. Secure Wire Instructions
Before any sensitive banking info is shared, CertifID verifies your identity. You’ll get a secure link to confirm who you are and safely exchange wire instructions—so your money goes where it’s supposed to.
Stay Alert—Only Trust Verified Communication
If you receive wire instructions outside of the CertifID system when Access is your title agency — don’t trust them. Even emails that look legitimate can be faked. Always verify through secure channels.
We're Committed to Your Security
When you work with our team, you're not just getting expert real estate guidance—you’re getting the protection of industry-leading security practices. Thanks to our partnership with Access Title Agency and CertifID, we put your safety first in every transaction.
