For those of us who live here year-round, it is pretty easy to come up with reasons why we like each season. As we enter the micro-season toward the end of summer, it is pretty exciting to experience the Leelanau harvest. Here a some of our favorites and some updates local farmers and farmers markets.

Excitement for the upcoming season is upon us. No doubt, we've been waiting...maybe not so patiently. This week we are finally starting to see buds stretching into leaves, morel mushrooms peeking through the forest, and white blankets of trillium covering the woodland understory.
Leelanau in Demand

In a recent article ("Home Sales Off to Best Start Ever") published by the Leelanau Enterprise, Kim Pontius, CEO of Traverse Area Association of Realtors (TAAR) was quoted, "If people want to be here [Leelanau], they are going to buy here." That certainly seems to be the case. In just the first two months of 2019, Leelanau has posted record real estate sales – the best two months ever, in fact.
